   I mean no disrespect, but I want you to know that I too have difficulty understanding

I can't tell if these URL's are intended to be coming or going. I just want you know that I don't think Boyle is being difficult. What you are asking is truly not clear.

RedirectMatch uses Perl Compatible regular Expressions. This is a subject all on its own! Get started at http://perldoc.perl.org/perlre.html

You've posted this several times and I've never yet fathomed what you're trying to do. Your questions above and below indicate you don't know either :-)

$1 replays the first matched group in the regexp.
