Hi Maurizio,

for Tomcat you should change the default entry for
"Listing directories" inside <tomcat-dir>/conf/web.xml
There inside, search for "listings", than you will find
 ...
 <!-- listings  Should directory listings be produced if there -->
 <!--           is no welcome file in this directory?  [true]  -->
 ....
and
 <init-param>
   <param-name>listings</param-name>
   <param-value>true</param-value>
 </init-param>

Here you should change the value from
from  <param-value>true</param-value>
to    <param-value>false</param-value>

Then each attempt for an access to a directory will be treated as 403
Forbidden.

(you probably want "Options -Indexes")
