It's a long shot, but you might try putting "SSLOptions +OptRenegotiate" in your config.

Fair comment. However, I am aware of *what* the error
message says, and what it's telling me to do, but I
wanted to know why SSL is screwing up the POST in the first
place. A single line comment in a log file doesn't really
give me enough background.
