When you say programs, you likely mean modules. You likely did not compile in the modules you are attempting to use. Removing the installation is a matter of just deleting the files. You do not need source to do that. If you isolate apache to its own directory I.e. /usr/local/apache, then you can just remove that dir. If not, cleanup is probably not ideal.
