A segmentation fault is progress.  Here are some stolen instructions
on what to do next:

Set CoreDumpDirectory directive to a directory where child process has
write access.

Run "ulimit -c unlimited" prior to apachectl start.

Hopefully, the error log message will then indicate that a coredump was written.

gdb /path/to/httpd /path/to/core
(gdb) bt full
(gdb) quit
