It seems to be because of this line in ssl.conf ....

<VirtualHost _default_:443>


When it is changed to ...

<VirtualHost *:443>


we no longer have the "Too many redirects" loop issue in https access to Wordpress sites

With that amount of information there isn't much I can say about your
loop issues.
