Re: Proxy and mod_deflate (httpd 2.4.x)

I removed mod_deflate from upper-level configs and inserted these 3 lines into the VHost
+       LogLevel Debug
+       LoadModule deflate_module modules/mod_deflate.so
+       DeflateCompressionLevel 9

nothing has changed in the output and there are no lines containing “deflate” in the error log
here are the lines that seem to be generated by a request for style.css

Any thoughts to further diagnose?

What you have looks fine to me.  Though you might have some
stray directive in global scope that affects you.

What happens if you crank up LogLevel and wade through the messages?
mod_deflate will generate a lot of debug, and might tell you all.
