Sorry it's a long thread and I thought I read in one of your posts that the rewritre rules are properly mapping so I have excluded mod_rewrite from the picture.
The 'DocumentRoot' element is not displayed in the rewrite log on the 2.2 version which is working fine. So I ASSUMED the fact that the 2.4 version was working the same ...
So where do I report this problem.
