You can use meta tag in your head section to call your script for example

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url="" href="http://yourdomain.com/path/to/your/cgi-script.py">http://yourdomain.com/path/to/your/cgi-script.py">

which will call your script immediately on index.html load.

Or you can also use _javascript_ redirect in the body tag of index.html something like this:

 <body _onLoad_="window.location=http://yourdomain.com/path/to/your/cgi-script.py">

You can also use a relative path to your script in the examples above in regards to the index.html file so you can put something like "../cgi-bin/script.py" instead http://yourdomain.com/path/to/your/cgi-script.py

 Thank you for the explanation.

 Could you give what you would consider to be a proper example?
