Yeah, it's not clear to me why it's a config option to enable this.  I
can see a config option to turn off the old display name if it's
particularly irritating to people but I can't see any reason not to
just provide the new stuff.

Yes, it is really better way to do this. I'll rewrite my patch. Thanks for the idea.
