Southwest Airlines Flight 693, bound for Orlando, Fla., landed at MacArthur Airport on Long Island at 7:55 a.m., said FAA spokesman Jim Peters. He said there was smoke in the plane, a 737, but did not specify where it originated from or what caused it. There are no reports of injuries, but EMS and fire officials were on the scene as a precaution. Passengers will board another airplane and continue their trip to Orlando, said Peters. FAA inspectors are on the scene investigating what went wrong. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> If you wish to unsubscribe from the AIRLINE List, please send an E-mail to: "listserv@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx".
