No one was hurt, and the 125 passengers were transferred to another plane and were expected to land in Philadelphia International Airport around midnight, according to Southwest Airlines spokesman Paul Flaningan. Flight 3858 originated out of Fort Lauderdale and was headed straight to Philadelphia when crew members and some passengers noticed smoke in the aft galley of the Boeing 737, Flaningan said. The plane was diverted to Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and landed there at 10:05 p.m., he said. The plane will stay grounded until it is thoroughly examined, but it is believed that a coffeemaker short-circuited, he said. ________________________________ Contact staff writer Robert Moran at 215-854-5983 or bmoran@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> If you wish to unsubscribe from the AIRLINE List, please send an E-mail to: "listserv@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx".
