The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that =E2=80=93- for now =E2= =80=93- each airline will stick with its current=0Asoft drink "until a fin= al determination has been made on a single=0Abeverage provider," according = to a company memo issued last week.=0A"We're having conversations with both= ," Delta vice president of=0Amarketing Tim Mapes tells the paper. There=0Adefinitely will be financial considerations that= we will be taking into=0Aaccount."=0AHowever, it was just last year that D= elta president Ed Bastian was=0Aquoted as saying: "It'll be Coke. That's no= t a hard one." Coke, like=0ADelta, is headquartered in Atlanta and both com= panies' corporate=0Aidentities are strongly liked with their hometown city.= Still, despite=0Awhat would seem to be an advantage for Coke, the Journal-= Constitution writes "the practical matter of breaking Northwest's contract = with=0APepsi may make the decision more difficult than simply a matter of= =0Ataste =E2=80=94 or hometown connections." Adding to the mix, by the way,= is=0Athat Bastian is a former Pepsi executive, according to the Journal-Co= nstitution. No word when a final decision might be made. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> If you wish to unsubscribe from the AIRLINE List, please send an E-mail to: "listserv@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx".
