Los Angeles World Airports, the L.A. agency that owns the regional Antelope Valley facility, decided last month to drop the airport from a plan to ease air traffic at LAX by expanding commercial airline service. LAWA officials say daily United flights between Palmdale and San Francis= co will end on Dec. 7 due to low passenger interest and the flailing economy. The flights launched in June 2007.
