Delta officials said Wednesday that the carrier would cease its year-old service between the Central Coast airport and Salt Lake City on September 1. The pullout comes on the heels of an announcement by American Airlines that its regional carrier American Eagle would stop serving the airport starting in November. It was unknown how many employees would be impacted by Delta's move. But assistant airports manager Craig Piper says some 100 workers would lose their jobs because of American's pullout.
