http://www.courierpress.com/news/2007/jul/24/plane-making-emergency-landing/ Plane made an emergency landing An airplane made an emergency landing at the Evansville Regional Airport, and landed safely after problems with its emergency gear. Numerous tactical units were mobilized at the airport because the plane had a problem with its landing gear. There have been no reported injuries, but passengers will be delayed. The plane was operated by American Eagle Regional Jet N648AE and made an unscheduled stop in Evansville. Airport manager Bob Working said the plane, which had 38 passengers including the crew, left Evansville at 2 p.m. for Chicago but turned around when the landing gear wouldn't retract. "Everybody was nervous, especially when we saw the fire department," said Tina Browning, a passenger from Evansville. "But everybody stayed calm." Browning said the pilot apologized after the plane landed. Passengers were told to go to the American Eagle ticket counter. Browning was in route to Omaha, Neb., where she planned to attend business training for ConAgra Foods. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better Heartthrob.
