"The pilot was trying to take off and it just wasn't lifting, it just wasn't going," said Battalion Chief John Ahlman. Ahlman said the pilot braked and the plane skidded onto a grassy overrun area about 800 feet past the runway. No one was hurt but the plane's front wheel broke off, he said. The pilot reported technical difficulties, but Ahlman said no details were available about what may have caused the problem. The airport's main runway was closed for about three hours beginning about 2:15 p.m. while crews tried to tow the plane away. The Dessault Falcon carrying 13 passengers and two crew was en route to Tampa, Florida. The National Transportation Safety Board was investigating the accident, Ahlman said. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Now that's room service!
