About 200 passengers were aboard the flight to Madrid when the collision occurred Sunday evening, Miami International Airport spokesman Marc Henderson said. There were no injuries, American Airlines spokesman Tim Wagner said. Henderson said he did not know the specifics of the collision. "I don't know whether or not the truck hit the plane or the plane hit the truck," he said. Wagner said the plane was being pushed away from its gate Sunday when the collision occurred. "Nobody was injured on either the aircraft or the truck, but there was damage to the back of the aircraft and to the truck as well," Wagner said. Wagner said damage to the plane was "extensive," but said he did not know how much it would cost to fix the aircraft. He said the passengers and 12 crew members aboard the flight were taken off the plane. The passengers were scheduled to leave for Madrid later Sunday night on another aircraft, Wagner said. ____________________________________________________________________________________ The fish are biting.
