http://www.independent.ie/national-news/children-break-in-to-airport-695324.html Children break in to airport GARDAI in Co Clare are investigating how two young children managed to breach security at Shannon Airport and wander close to a busy airline taxiway before being observed and picked up by security personnel. The incident occurred at 8.30pm on Friday when two boys, aged 5 and 11, were spotted only yards from the airport's main runway. They apparently scaled a fence so that they could get a closer look at a search and rescue helicopter based at the airport. A spokesperson for Shannon Airport confirmed that the incident occurred but that there was no danger to the children as no planes were moving in that part of the airfield.
