The company hopes the jet, which can carry up to 164 passengers, will he= lp it meet demand in popular destinations without having to add more flights, the Denver-based carrier said Wednesday. The expanded agreement, which extends Frontier's aircraft order three years to 2011 trades orders for eight A319s for four A320s and four A318s. It also calls for six additional A320s, with deliveries to begin in 2008. Terms of the deal will not be disclosed, airline spokesman Joe Hodas sai= d. When completed in 2011, the airline will have 10 of the A320s. The bulk = of Frontier's 49 jets are A319s, which can carry up to 134 passengers. The smaller A318 carries up to 117 passengers. Frontier last year completed its transition to an all-Airbus fleet.
