MessageDelta Air Lines (Atlanta) has started the "farewell tour" for their employee-purchased Boeing 767-232 N102DA (msn 22214) named the "Spirit of Delta" (please see our original report on December 11, 2005). During the next two weeks employees and customers will bid farewell to this special airplane which will ultimately go on display in Hangar 2 at the Delta Heritage Museum in Atlanta. Each stop will feature a gate event and a demonstration flight. When it is retired the First Class section of the aircraft will feature a video viewing area and exhibit area and presentation room in the Economy section. Today (February 21) the aircraft stops at Orlando, Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood and Cincinnati.
