Deliveries of the newly ordered aircraft are scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2006, it said, as part of the airline's medium-haul fleet modernization program. Aeroflot's A321s will feature two-class cabin layouts seating 170 passengers, Airbus said. Financial terms were not disclosed for the deal, worth $550 million at list prices. Aeroflot, which already has 18 Airbus planes in its fleet, plans to operate the new aircraft on its European and domestic networks, the Airbus statement said. Toulouse-based Airbus is 80 percent-owned by European Aeronautic Defence and Space Co.
