Beauty's in the eye of the beholder.

I walked all around it today. Its a very spectacular paint job.
here's a good photo, http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=933358&size=L
but I haven't seen a photo yet that does the paint complete justice.
I think that's also true of the Disney Tinkerbell paint job - much
more vibrant in real life than in any photo.

There was a Potlatch featuring native artists and a great salmon and
halibut barbecue put on in one Seattle hangar today by Alaska and
various fish companies and associations (who through the Alaska
Fisheries Marketing Board essentially paid for the event including
the special paint beyond what AS would have spent on a normal
repainting). Capacity was limited to 4,000 employees and guests.
Great turnout on a Saturday. A smaller event will be held in the
Anchorage hangar Sunday.
Nice to have something positive and upbeat what with all the bad news
in the industry lately.
Mike
