Why serve LAX? I think LGB, ONT, and BUR are better airports to serve the Southland, especially LGB because you can still board the aircraft without going through a stupid jetway. Does BUR still have this great feature or have the gone to jetways also? LAX is a crappy airport compared to LGB. I enjoy being able to board an aircraft without having to enter it via a jetway. SFO is actually further away from downtown SF than OAK is. Additionally, OAK and, to a lesser extent, SJC are often clear when SFO is at or below minimums.
