Unfortunately the entire problem lies in the more than necessary importance
to the cost, instead of the quality that I see more and more each day in the
business environment.

Watching your costs is obviously important, but losing quality workers, or
hiring (or contracting) people just because of the cost will eventually make
you cost more in the long run. Unfortunately to me looks like everyone lost
that thought in Corporate America..

Also if you cut staff to less than the minimum level and avoid any overtime
schedules on the busy holidays, this shouldnt be a surprise to management.
