Wow, this is crazy.  Granted, WN has so much cash, this $147 million is
nothing to them, but taking a portion of the airline is not their style, and
neither is straying from the WN model (remember Muse Air?).  I would have expected
taking MDW gates and the 738s, but not doing this type of move.  Perhaps it is
a way of making more money off ATA by using their financial advantage to buy
the carrier and then break it up, selling 757s and Hawaii to HP, some things to
FL, etc.
