Hi all,
Today, 11/28, JAL's newest B744F landed at ANC and blew the #4 engine.
Partially uncontained failure, blades missing and cowling damage. The
aircraft (JA402J) is less than a month old. About two weeks, I think. So here's the
question. When an airline buys a new airplane, does it come with a warranty?
Who's gonna pay for the damage? Boeing? GE? Or is the deal like buying a used
vehicle? You know, the warranty is good til you leave the lot!
