My B concourse DEN tips:
  - Avoid the grumpy McDonalds & Steak Escape staff
  - Budget 50% for the purchase of any thing at a "souvenir shop" such
as a chocolate bar
  - Take a book or take advantage of the book store (B concourse), it's
actually got a great selection of interesting airplane reading
  - Talk your way into one of the United Red Carpet lounges. They
usually have fresh-fruit and great view of passing thunderstorms.

And most of all: Try and fly through SLC?
