That will be interesting on some of their heavier flights (LAX-LHR on the 772). They will do some hot rodding early on, low and fast, then asking for 390 or 410 so they get there and keep fuel on. The people listening to those Ch. 9 conversations will have fun (LA Center, United 960 FL 290 requesting FL 410, then the PWs reving up and the nose pointing to the moon) <<No word of agreement on the LHR strike yet. I called United and they told me a very interesting approach as the solution to the problem. They are planning to tanker some fuel (i.e. carry much more than they need to make the trip to LHR) and then on the return they would land on another airport to get fuel.>>
