Yes F9 is Frontier. =20 I don't think it would ever happen. The only thing I think AA could gain from F9 is a hold on DEN if UA goes Chapter 7 (which I don't think they will do). If AA wanted more gates at DEN, they could get it. =20 It's been suggested that an AA/F9 merger would give AA a United/Ted, Delta/Song type of airline relationship. Although, the history of those type of relationships is not good. Ted's not going to save United and Song's not going to save Delta. =20 The only big moves I could see AA doing is something with AS or maybe buying some part of a liquidated US. =20 Clay - SEA =20 =20 -----Original Message----- From: damiross3@xxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:damiross3@xxxxxxxxxxx]=20 Sent: Wednesday, September 15, 2004 12:38 PM To: The Airline List; Clay Wardlow Subject: Re: F9 & AA Merger Rumor =20 What would be the purpose of such a merger? F9 is Frontier, right? They are moving to fleet of aircraft that is unlike American's. Yes, AA has Airbus aircraft but they are old airplanes. =20 About the only thing I can see that would benefit AA would be a Denver hub. However, that would also add another hub for AA and I think the last thing AA needs is another hub. =20 David R=20 the person who gets his messages moderated by a moderator who never moderates -------------- Original message --------------=20 =09 > If you look on airliners.net, there is a thread about a merger between=20 > AA and F9.
