In the early 1970's, Alaska flew charters to Russia; used non-fan 707-320s
were flown on the routes. Alaska also ordered a 747 in the late 1960s, for use
on charters to Russia and Europe. Alaska's "Golden Nugget Service" logo was one
of the logos on the 747 when it was rolled out, but the order was cancelled
before AS took delivery.
