Depends how you count, but the Los Angeles-Long Beach-Riverside-Orange
County Consolidated Metropolitan Area (CMSA), population 16,373,645
(2000 census), second largest in the U.S., has 6 airports with
scheduled commercial jet flights:

        Los Angeles (LAX)
        Burbank-Pasadena (BUR)
        Ontario (ONT)
        Long Beach (LGB)
        Orange County (SNA)
        Palm Springs (PSP)

An argument can be made for excluding PSP, but the others are
definitely in the urban/suburban area.
