Yes. How much I thought Reagan was a great president, I was 100% against naming an airport after him while he was alive. Up until the past few years, America had a tradition of naming stuff after people as a memorial (i.e. after they died). In other countries, facilities are quite often named after the ruler in charge (often royalty or a dictator) because they are supposedly better than the common folks. If a private company wants to name something after someone living, I have no problems with that. It's not the government. So, looking at the list below, SJC isn't the only place to name an airport after an incompetent politician - ERI did it too.
