It was called ""A Dream Takes Flight: Hartsfield Atlanta International
Airport and Aviation in Atlanta"

I found it through Amazon's "2nd hand book". I actually got it from a
book-store in the interior of BC. It was published by University of
Georgia press I believe. (I don't have it with me.)

It does talk about the logistics side of it, but also the heavy
politics and how good-versus-evil broke through and built one of the
(in my opinion) most efficient and functional airports in the world.
(Beautiful still belongs to YVR, nothing is deserving of DFW.)

But it was a book, not a web-site.

I think ATL is one of the only airports that has essentially (up until

the recent fifth runway) gotten smaller. ATL went from a intersecting

runway config to four parallel runways. And I do believe some old

runways are now taxi ways (the north middle taxi-way I believe.)

Has ORD been reconfigured from what it originally designed and built? I

think I remember seeing an old picture that had a different runway

config.

What other airports have been reconfigured?
