Airbus Aims to Catch Boeing in Turkey Airbus Airframe Procurement Vice President Peter Kloepfer announced on Wednesday that Airbus has fallen behind Boeing in the Turkish market, but that Airbus would strive to overtake Boeing as soon as possible. Peter Kloepfer is confident of Airbus' chance to win Turkish Airlines' (THY) new plane tender. He said talks are progressing and that winning the tender would go a long way towards boosting Airbus' market share. Elsewhere, PFW Aviation Industry General Manager Volker Sayer said that they would increase the product capacity and diversity in the future. PFW manufactures parts for Airbus, including supplemental fuel tanks for its A 320 series aircraft.
