Boeing Chooses THY to Maintain Its Planes Turkish Airlines (THY) signed a technical maintenance agreement today with Boeing, one of the leading producers of passenger jets. The agreement stipulates that THY will be responsible for the maintenance of Boeing 737s that will be sold to Russia and neighboring countries. It also means an extra US$ 40 million will be added to THY's bottom line annually. THY Technical Assistant Director Temel Kotil and Boeing Integrated Fleet Project Director Jay Ligett signed the 7-year agreement. During the signature ceremony held earlier today at THY hangar, Kotil said that it is an honor for THY to be trusted by Boeing. Boeing decided upon on THY after many meetings with other companies.
