Re: Southwest Advice

While I understand your points I prefer having assigned seats when I
travel. I think it has to do with the fact that most of my travel is for
business and after spending a day rushing around to meetings I don't
want to rush around at the airport. Assigned seats help me avoid this
stress. It my not be the reality, but it's my perception. I think it is
great that they have a business model that seems to work and that people
really enjoy the experience traveling with them. I just feel the same
way about UAL and my experiences with them. I'm not taking away from
Southwest, just don't enjoy them myself.

The one thing that I can't get over is that Southwest really elicits a
love or hate response from people.

Ok, enough said. I'm off to the airport now to catch my 25th segment of
the year so far.

Tons of trouble? If he and his friend board together they'll most
likely find two seats together. I've never had a problem finding three
seats together on Southwest flights so two should be significantly
easier.

Isn't a line of people marching down the jetbridge to get on a flight
the same cattle car operation no matter if it's United or Southwest? Or
does the fact you're usually paying more on United make you feel more
comfortable when
boarding? Doesn't United board by row numbers or is it totally at your
leisure?
Really, how much different is it than Southwest lining people up in
groups to board?
