Oh..that explains the designation of 990A - A being for atrocities!  Don't
forget the 880 was so lacking that Convair produced an 880M series.  While these
were sleek looking birds, they were the Flying Edsels of the marketplace.
When Boeing launched the B720, the Convairs fast became hiss-twaa!
