AmWest has filed with the DOT for two additional DCA-PHX non-stops and one additional DCA-LAS non stop. This would double existing service. They also asked the DOT for exemption authorization to fly two non stops from DCA to LAX as well as SFO. Cactus claims they could save the public at least $140m a year on airfares to these California markets due to their low cost fare structure.
