Snow falls once a year on the airport and when it does, it creates havoc. On 01JAN, planes were authorized to leave the gate and proceed to de-ice but were also regulated upon take off because of the tower. The longhaul flights in the 10 o'clock and 13h00 waves all spent a good amount of time on the taxiway because of tower control ... where as long haul flights at 16h00 didn't have as big of a wait.
