David, I agree with you.. -900 will be the last 737 built. Even the 900 didn't sell very well. Let us not forget that the 737 is an old design with new things straped to it. New engines, new electronics and more important than anything else , new wing. At this point -600 is dead. -800 is doing OK, -700 is the leader of the series. -900 cannot be extended further unless you intend to do flat take offs and landings :) Even 321 , which sits much higher than the 737NGs have "pull back" issues on take off and landings. If I recall correct, -900 model is limited to 8 degrees of angle of attack on take of due to the longer fuselage.
