Hey,  any old f--ts out there want to take off where you left off at the end
of WW11?  Here is your chance.   I spent many hours as a passenger in the
DC- 3/C-47, It may be older than dirt, but it can haul much more over its
rated carrying capacity.  The younger folks out there might like to get into
this aircraft and learn something new!   Go for it !    Bob

The Prairie Aviation Museum is proud to announce next years annual Douglas
DC-3 ground school. We are inviting anyone who is interested in learning
more about the Douglas DC-3. For those who are planning on receiving a DC-3
type rating or SIC training, this course will provide you with the necessary
knowledge to complete our training course. The information on next years
ground school is listed below. We will be requiring anyone who wishes to
attend to sign up early and place a $25.00 deposit to hold their place in

Prairie Aviation Museum
Douglas DC-3 Ground School
February 7, 2004

When: February 7, 2004
Who can attend: Anyone interested in learning about the Douglas DC-3.

Please reserve your seat early, as seating is limited

Location: The ground school will be held at the Bloomington, IL airport in
the old terminal, home to the newly opened Prairie Aviation Museum's
Challenger Learning Center.

Time: School starts at 08:00 and will last until 17:00. Lunch break will be
at 12:00.
Cost: $75.00 total

$25.00 nonrefundable deposit is required to hold your seat in the class.

Instructor: Bob Davis who has over 50 years of experience flying the Douglas
DC-3.

profiles used as study aid in class
" DC-3 Aircraft Manual
Course includes:
" State of the art audio visual presentation with stadium seating
" Visual aids will include DC-3 parts and custom made mechanical mockups

" Accidents/Safety Discussion
" Aircraft Systems
" Performance, Weight and Balance
" Procedures and Profiles
