SCT = Southern California TRACON......... they ID on the ATC frequencies as "SoCal". Located on the grounds of Miramar Marine Base not far from San Diego. Handles approach/departure control for the many airports in the Los Angeles Basin, San Diego, and (as the name implies) most all airports in Southern California.
