At the SIA press conference in Singapore today, they made it pretty clear
that there was not going to be a plain vanilla Y class. More space was
being provided due to the length of the trip. I guess this is to prevent
people from going berserk.

When asked about pricing, SQ admitted that prices would be higher than the
present one stop hop over the Pacific but it would be in the vicinity of
10% higher.

Anyone know what the manpower requirements would be for the Airbus A340-500
for this long haul?
