Clay and others interested, You might want to check: http://airconsumer.ost.dot.gov/reports/index.htm You can get this in PDF or MS Word form. This gives the sort of summaries that newspapers quote. I used this sort of data a few years ago (on an earlier web site) when I wrote a short article for "Oregon Math Teacher" comparing how rankings of airlines for "denied boardings" (bumped passengers) changed depending on whether you counted -- total number of involuntary denied boardings (The Oregonian newspaper -- they should lose their Pulitzer Prize for that) -- rate of involuntary denied boardings (AP, CNN, etc.) -- rate of denied boardings, voluntary or not (your humble servant) (OK, some of us shill photos or calendars, I shill an occasional paper :-) ) The site David was thinking of is http://www.bts.gov/ntda/oai/ My problem with this is that I can only find data for individual airports or individual airlines, I had to use the other site to find comparisons of airlines across the country. Of course, you could argue that if I am going from Portland to Dulles non-stop on United, what happens at other airports is irrelevant. One can never have too much data, but summaries & comparisons help too. john On Wednesday, October 8, 2003, at 01:35 PM, damiross2@xxxxxxxxxxx wrote: > Try the Bureau of Tranportation Statistics (BTS).
