LAX-SEA fares (including all extortions, er, taxes)
one way unrestricted, 1 Nov:
Southwest: $208.00
Alaska: 276.30 (after $10.70 discount for internet booking)
Southwest's advantage: $68.30


lowest fare, leaving LAX 1 Nov returning from SEA 8 Nov:
Southwest:  $231.00 (difference due to Passenger Facility Charges)
Alaska: $207.30 (after $10.70 discount for internet booking)
Southwest's advantage: on time, great peanuts, fun loving flight attendants,
and the possibility of connecting in Reno so you can play the slot machines
