AmweWest is now 100% RJ's from Tucson to Phoenix---less than one hour on the plane but this certainly does NOT help the passenger in any way. Fewer seats mean higher prices and less room (carryon bags? a joke) smaller seats etc etc. But most everyone is going this route--Alaska (Horizon) uses them for 2 hour plus flights to Seattle/ Portland etc and DL and CO also substituting RJs for large acft on 2 hour flights to their hubs etc. Air travel is goin downhill faster and faster and we won't even mention the shoes.....
