Informational picketing is underway at Phoenix Sky Harbor today as pilots for AmWest protest the increasing number of regional jets flying Cactus routes. This has been going on for several years as AmWest is using RJs on thin as well as long, thin routes served in the past by their Boeings and Buses. Pilots say the carrier has 38 RJs flying Cactus routes and the limit should be 25. Hmmmmmm....passengers don't seem to be squawking about the replacement aircraft; the Feds guaranteed beau coup bucks to Cactus with a provision costs are kept in line; and the last thing Doug Parker needs is a strike now that his carrier is making money.
