RJ is short for Regional Jet.  CRJs (Canadair Regional Jets) have t-tails and
2 engines on the rear fuselage.  It is the same with ERJs, but not the new
Embraer 170/175 and 190/195, though these are not called ERJs.  Do328Jets have 2
engines under each wing, and are high winged.  BAC/Bae 146s/Avro RJs are high
wing and have 4 engines.  The term regional jet refers to smaller jets
(usually 30-90 PAX) that serve shorter regional routes that cannot (supposedly, WN
services quite a few of these same routes) support mainline aircraft
