3000nm is Airbus' claim for the 320 for a full load in a 'realistic' scenario. Reality maybe more real. Air Canada's Tango, using A320's with a Y class only layout (159 seats plus 5 crew) from YYZ-YVR (2,178 miles as the crow flies) frequently has load restrictions, requiring (so a Toronto Star reporter wrote) that some passengers had to move around for load-balancing, and that some luggage is frequently left-behind.
